Biography
I am a geographer with a keen interest in machine learning. I joined the Cartography and GIS Research Group as a teaching assistant to both sharpen my research skills and guide students through the practical sessions of various bachelor and master courses. My background lies in physical geography, having completed the Earth and Climate track in the master of Geography at VUB / KU Leuven. However, I recently also expanded my knowledge on machine learning by completing the Master of Artificial Intelligence program at KU Leuven. Additionally, I worked at ARCADIS for one year as a project engineer on large infrastructural projects, often with a focus on implementing sustainable solutions.
My interests are in remote sensing, deep learning, machine learning in relation to remote sensing and the sustainable development of urban environments.
