Amy Phillips
Biography
Having completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Geography with specialization in Geographic Information Science, I joined the Cartography and GIS research group in January, 2019.
My PhD research focused on assessing the cultural ecosystem services provided by large urban green spaces in the Brussels Capital Region. This research made use of a Public Participation GIS tool, which enabled the integration of people's wants, needs, and experiences into the assessment of green space accessibility. My PhD research also assessed public perceptions of nature-based solutions implemented on residential streets.
As a post-doctral research, I continue to focus on urban greening in the context of urban transition and green space as climate shelter.
